Secrets of Watercolour!

A 10 week course with artist and tutor Paul Morin.

Develop your confidence in the following areas…

  • How to lay down graded washes

  • Which brushes to use

  • How to simplify a scene

  • How to use a limited colour range

  • How to paint an expressive cloudy sky

  • How to choose a suitable scene

  • The ‘wet-in wet’- technique

  • How to paint lines more confidently

T he course is suitable for beginners and intermediate attendees.

Announcing the Seventh Annual Short Story Competition 2021-22

This year’s title is Isolation.

The competition is open to everyone resident in the UK. Winners in each of three age categories will receive prizes as follows: year groups 3-6, £50, runner-up £25; year groups 7-11, £75, runner-up £25; Adult (above year group 11), £100 first place, £50 second place, £25 third place. Further details and a copy of the competion rules can be found on the event page for 14 February 2022. Closing Date: 14 February 2022.

We are offering a new Watercolours course, targeted at beginners and intermediate artists, taught by art tutor and professional artist, Paul Morin. We have a few places left on the course. The Start Date for the Course is Thursday 7 October.

Confirmed - Film Night at Rems will recomence on Wednesday 15 September - at present places a limited to 20 for safety reasons.
