JOURNEYS - Chapel Arts Creative Writing Group @ Buxton Festival Fringe 2023

The Chapel-en-le-Frith-based writing group explores the theme of journeys, whether it is the daily commute, foreign travel or adventures of the mind. Expect a wide variety of stories, poetry, mini-plays and more from the group’s talented members, some of whom are award-winning, published authors.

JOURNEYS - Chapel Arts Creative Writing Group @ Buxton Festival Fringe 2023

Our Writing Group gave to great performances of their stories, poems and playlets the Buxton Fringe Festival 2023 receiving a great review from the Fringe. The work that featured in the 2022 Fringe can be read and downloaded here. The work for the 2020, 2021 and 2023 Fringe can be found in the Story section of the website. Various performances of the group's work can be seen on our YouTube channel via the link at the top of the page.

Thanks to everyone who entered the Chapel Arts' 2022 Short Story Competition with the theme 'Isolation' and congratulations to the winners. The winning story was written by Vanessa Horn, with Sally Brown's story in 2nd place and John Wilkins' story placed 3rd. Follow the links to read the beautifully crafted work.
